Apple, Cherry, Olive, Ornamental Trees like Tilia and Acer, etc
The Leopard Moth is a lepidopteran with a 35-70mm wingspan. It is a polyphagous species that attacks several varieties of pomes and drupes, especially apple and pear trees.
Number of annual generations
Normally one generation per year.
The larvae dig galleries in trunks and branches to feed, causing drying and later breakage by wind action. In young plantations, the attack may even kill the plant.
